The chairman, senate committee on ethics, privileges and public petitions Senator Ayo Akinyelure has called on President Mohammadu Buhari to promptly sign into law the bill on removal of dichotomy between university degree and higher national diploma of polytechnics.
He made the appeal today in Abuja at a capacity training on “governance, accountability, ethics and due process across public and private sector establishments in Nigeria”.

He emphasised that the bill needs to be urgently passed into law in the interest of Justice and fairness to encourage all graduates to rise to the challenge of development instead of depending on foreigners who make slaves out of them restricting them from the use of their potentials.
“Many people from Asian countries have taken over our economy, because of their money and technical know how to establish cottage industries in Nigeria, they turn our graduates to casual workers. We need to rise to the challenge and encourage our graduates to take over from them” he said.
Senator Akinyelure speaking on the need for motivation in the use of skills said that graduates with technical training orientation should not be left suffering in the civil service but be encouraged to offer their potentials.
He stated that if President Buhari rises to the challenge of translating the bill into law, he will set an unbeatable record of development in the history of the country.
