EX NIGER DELTA MILITANTS CAUTION AGAINST NATIONWIDE PROTEST
Ex agitators for the development of Niger Delta have admonished the conveners of the proposed nation wide protest expected from 1-10 august to drop the plans and use non dicey means to address the present level of the economic situations in the country.
Speaking with a unified voice at its world press conference today in Abuja, the coalition which is currently under the presidential amnesty programme pointed out that the youths should reflect on destructive activities experienced from past protests like the end sars that led to the destruction of lives and properties.
Members of the coalition also urged president Tinubu to look into the plight of Nigerians by bringing down the prices of fuel, food and other essential commodities that are presently beyond the buying abilities of the masses.
Leader of the team Comrade Momos Wilberforce thanked God almighty, Mr President, presidential amnesty programme (PAP) administrator and good spirited Nigerians who have been on the receiving end of most of the present economic reforms and policies that are being introduced by the present administration headed by president Bola Ahmed Tinubu
He advised that despite the mood of the nation, the PAP beneficiaries, youths and the entire Nigerians should avoid issues that will lead to a more dicey situations experienced during the end sars protest.
In his words, “we agree that presently as a nation, we are experiencing unprecedented economic challenges ranging from high rate of inflation, youth unemployment, self inflicted poverty that have triggered a national conscientiousness and demand to an end to bad government by Nigerians across all walks of life”.
He appealled to fellow youths that they should not allow themselves to be used as instrument of destruction to destabilize collective peace and actions that are disastrous to our economy and common destiny as a country.
