ABUJA ENTERPRISE AGENCY AWARDS OUTSTANDING SCHOOLS IN YOUNG ENTERPRENEURAL DEVELOPMENT
Abuja Enterprise Agency (AEA) has given cash awards to the schools that emerged as the winners of the Abuja Young Entrepreneurs Club Competition at the grand finale held in Abuja yesterday. With the theme “social enterprise in my school”, the competition is designed by AEA for all the schools in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to harness and showcase their enterpreneural abilities and prepare young minds for future personal and national development. The keenly contested competition had awards for outstanding ideas and performances in innovation, enterprise, market sustainability, social, environmental and financial impact. Government Secondary School Bwari emerged as overall winner with a cash prize of one million naira (#1 000 000), Government Secondary School Kubwa took second with a cash prize of seven hundred and fifty thousand naira (#750 000), Government Secondary School Wuse Zone3 took third with a cash prize of five hundred thousand naira (#500 000). Complimentary prizes were also awarded to ten runner up schools. Impressed by the ideas and performances, participants at the event commended AEA for the project and advised the schools on commitment and sustainability.
