NASS NEWS AWARDS 10 DISTINGUISHED LAW MAKERS
The parliamentary newspaper of the national assembly (NASS NEWS) on Wednesday issued awards to law makers who have performed extremely good in the delivering of the expected services to their constituencies.
The awardees drawn from both the house of representatives and the senate were picked after careful, thorough and close monitoring of their performances.
The NASS NEWS awards has also been carefully designed to lead a phenomenon in recognition of legislative and non- legislative achievements in the country’s parliament and its allies.
The award recipients are assessed based on sterling contributions to development within the aupices of their offices to better the lot of the masses.
Making this year’s list of the annual awards were ten awardees drawn from both houses of the national assembly.
The awardees are Senator Oyewumi Kamorudin Olalere, Osun west senatorial district, Senator Rufai Hanga, Kano central senatorial district, Senator Ipalibo Harry Banigo, Rivers west senatorial district, Hon Architect Usman Murtala Banye, Batagarawa/ Charanchi/Rimi constituency, Katsina state, Hon. Khafilat Ogbara, Koshofe federal constituency, Lagos state, Hon. Adepoju Anthony Adebayo, Ibarapa central and Ibarapa north, Oyo state, Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika, AMAC and Bwari federal constituency, Abuja, Hon. Matthew Nwogu, Mbaise and Ngopala federal constituency Imo state, Hon. Barr. Okey Jesse Onuakalusi, Oshodi/Isolo federal constituency, Lagos state, Hon. Kabiru Alhassan Rurum, Rano/Bunkure/Kibiya constituency, Kano state.
The awardees who were present and those who sent representatives acknowledged that the award will spur them into more actions for the good of the citizens.
