DAVID MARK TASKS TINUBU ON INNOVATIVE EFFORTS AGAINST INSECURITY
Former Senate President, David Mark has called on President Bola Tinubu to review the country’s security architecture to make it more proactive and strategic towards addressing insecurity and its challenges in the country.
He expressed the concern in a statement issued by his Media Adviser, Paul Mumeh in Kano on Tuesday.
He said that the review will identify the loopholes and devise more effective means to end insecurity.
He noted that the Plateau incidents in which scores of citizens were massacred should be a wakeup call that the security challenge needs urgent attention.
“It will not be out of place to declare an emergency on security. Any step taken to end the continued killing of citizens will be worth the trouble,” he said.
He called on the Federal Government and the security agencies to put innovative efforts into avoiding the insistent waste of lives in the country.
