BUHARI’S RAILWAY CONSTRUCTION IS WASTE OF RESOURCES—–OSITA CHIDOKA
The former Corp Marshall of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and Minister of Aviation Mr Osita Chidoka has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to use the resources he is spending on railway construction for projects that have better economic impact.
Arguing that the construction and maintenance of railway require huge fund that can adversely affect the economy, he noted that it is more cost effective to build and maintain roads instead of wasting resources on railway.
He advised the President to inculcate the habit of seeking technical and professional advise before embarking on any project.
Mr Chidoka who spoke at the launching of a book on advancing effeciency in trucking processes, commended the author for initiating a master piece that will help address the growing concerns about trailer driving in the county.
Author of the book Dr Augustine Aipoh, former director in FRSC said he was moved to write based on first hand experiences in trucking processes.
He emphased on the need for constant upgraded training for truck drivers and practitioners on trucking processes for services devoid of the daunting challenges posed by trucking activities.
