TRADITIONAL RULER ADMONISHES POLITICIANS TO ENCOURAGE YOUTHS ON PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE
A traditional ruler has admonished politicians to use the power entrusted on them to tackle societal problems that will encourage the youths to coexist in peace and unity in any part of the country.
The head of Belel District, Adamawa state, Alhaji Abubakar Danlawan Mubi made the request Saturday in Abuja at the commemoration of Commonwealth Day 2023 organized by Advanced Peace and Reconciliation Center in Nigeria (APRCN).
He said that the country is in a very critical time when politicians and and other leaders need to improve on their functions in anything they are doing so that youths can focus on development instead of struggles and agitations that do not add any benefit.
He said that coming from a state that has been in the heart of insecurity, issues of peace and reconciliation is very important to heal the past and avoid problems.
He charged the youths to always emulate what is good and beneficial to individuals and the country.
The district head who commended APRCN for their peace and reconciliation activities advised that they should expand the involvement of traditional rulers in their training programmes and events as custodian of the people at the nearest level.
